Family Respite & Leisure Access Program (FRALAP)
This program is available for families providing primary care to a family member who has a moderate to severe intellectual development, physical or multiple disability.
FRALAP's aims are two fold. It facilitiates respite for primary carers, allowing them to spend time with other members of the family and/or undertake activities for themselves.
The person with a disability may be between the ages of 0-65 and must reside in the Inner West area. The program arranges respite (in home or community based) for primary carers of people with a moderate to a severe physical or inellectual disability.
It allows primary carer clients the ability to spend time with other members of the family, undertake activities themselves or have free time. It also provides an opportunity for the person with a disability to access community leisure services.
