Charity Awareness Volunteer Week Awards

Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) the national peak body representing professional fundraising in Australia hosted a Charity Awareness Week lunch at Parliament House to acknowledge the difference volunteers make within the community.
Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre was nominated by FIA committe member Jerry McNamara from Family Resource and Network Support (FRANS) to receive a Volunteer Award. The award was presented by NSW Gaming and Racing Minister, Graham West and accepted by our nominated volunteer receptionist Lynne Fairy. Centre Manager, Carole Strong also attended the luncheon and Community Development Worker, Lisa Smajlov represented Child Abuse Protection Services (CAPS) as part of a management committee outreach project. Only 50 organisations within NSW were nominated, Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre was delighted to be acknowledged by its peers to receive the Volunteer Award during Charity Awareness Week. |
