Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre Day Writing Competition
- 21 May 09

Students from Rozelle Public School were invited to participate in a writing competition to further develop our local connections between the school during Neighbourhood Centre Week.

To participate students created a short story of poem about what they liked about living in the local neighbourhood. The pieces also had to include the three words "Rozelle", "neighbour" and "centre" in any order eg I like living in Rozelle because it is the centre of my universe.

Congratulations to Jessica from Draco who won a $50 Dymocks voucher for her poem:

 Hello my name is Belle
 I live in fantastic Rozelle
 The neighbourhood centre is great
I'll see you there tomorrow mate.

The centre was drawn to Jessica's use of rhyming prose and the celebratory usage of Rozelle and the neighbourhood centre as being great place to visit!

Honorable mentions were also awarded to Eva, Christopher and Anna for their poems, stories and word plays.

Rozelle Neighbourhood Centre would like to thank all the students who participated in our writing competition. It was very inspiring to read all there imaginative and creative pieces.
