Neighbour Aid

Neighbourhood Aid is a service that matches volunteers to isolated and frail aged people as well as people with disabilities. It enables members of the community to remain in their own homes by providing care and support.

Funded by HACC (Home and Community Care) Neighbour Aid matches volunteers to clients providing home visiting and support service for frail aged and younger people with disabilities and their carers living in the Leichhardt local government area.

The program aims to decrease the isolation and loneliness by recruiting volunteer visitors to provide companionship and other practical support to improve the quality of life for people living in their own homes.
